1. Main causes of bearing failure

The cause of a bearing failure is usually caused by four main factors:

Improper lubrication

According to estimates, up to 36% of bearings failures are caused by using the wrong lubricant and with the wrong amount.

When the grease is added incorrectly in the original type, during machine operation, the two types of grease will react with each other to form adhesive residues. These deposits which accumulate over time will adversely affect the performance of the bearing.

Attention should be paid to choosing the right lubricating oil for each type of industrial bearing.

In addition, when using an excess of lubricating oil and grease, it will reduce the cooling efficiency, causing fast-acting industrial bearings to become hot, causing material consumption. This is the indirect cause that the machinery and equipment cannot operate at their designed capacity.

Bearings are overloaded

The machinery and equipment are frequently overloaded, not maintained periodically, causing 34% of the bearing cases to be damaged. In fact, when the machine is running overloaded, the bearing must also operate overload. When the overload occurs frequently, the damaged and rapidly damaged bearings are inevitable.

The bearing was not installed correctly

Improper installation of industrial bearings, when using excessive force and using improper installation tools are responsible for 16% of bearings failure.

Contaminated bearings
At first, it is hard to believe that dirt is the cause of a bearing failure, but it has been shown in fact that up to 14% of the bearings are damaged because they are not covered. careful. The dirt adhering to the lubricant affects the lubricating efficiency, preventing the industrial bearings from working well and deteriorating over time.

2. Precautions of damage

From the causes of damage to bearings given above, if you want industrial bearings to always operate stably and for a long time, in the process of installing and using bearings you should note:

+ Use the tools and installation equipment provided by the bearing manufacturers. Technical support is required to ensure that there are no mistakes during the installation process.

+ Minimize the overloading of machinery and equipment, and at the same time, periodically check and maintain industrial bearings to minimize damage repair and replacement of bearings.

+ Learn carefully and thoroughly before choosing industrial bearing grease, ensuring that it is suitable for each bearing. At the same time, should only add grease when really necessary, with the right amount, avoid using too much and causing waste and adversely affecting the working efficiency of the bearings.

+ Use and store industrial bearings properly to avoid damage.
