Spherical roller bearing, also known as optional shaft ball bearings, have spherical shaped balls. Double-row spherical roller bearing is an integral type. They are manufactured in a variety of sizes. Double-row spherical roller bearings are available with cylindrical and tapered holes 1:12 or 1:30 taper. The bearing is mounted directly on the cylindrical shaft, or mounted on the bushing against the conical shaft.
Double-row spherical roller bearing consists of two rows of rollers sharing the same spherical groove on the outer ring and two separate grooves on the inner ring that provide an angle of inclination against the bearing shaft. This gives spherical bearings an excellent combination of design properties that cannot be replaced in many special applications. Bearings of this type are self-selecting and are therefore less susceptible to shaft eccentricity compared to bearings and shaft deflection or curvature.
